Excellent service. Food was incredible. Very authentic. I had the squid ink pasta with seafood. Highly recommend.

Had a really lovely meal here on Saturday evening before the Xtina concert with family. We were celebrating our 20th, and they even surprised us with a decadent dessert at the end which was such a wonderful touch. Our table ordered a variety of items, I had the Handkerchief Pasta (pesto) which was very good along with the cauliflower which was also pretty tasty. My husband and niece had the calamarata which they enjoyed, and my other niece had the Chilean Sea Bass which she said was divine. They checked in on us often, ensured we had filled water glasses and were taken care of. Food was very good.

I dined here with a large party of 20. We all showed up at various times, ordered lots of different cocktails, wine and beer and they were happy to serve us all. We probably got here around 7-8pm on a Friday eve (with a reservation) we were never rushed or given a time limit. Starterd/ the Burrata was delicious, creamy and elevated. I didn't try most of the fish options, but everyone else really enjoyed them! Mains, we ordered most of the menu and just shared everything. I wasn't wowed by any of the pasta dishes unfortunately. They were ok.. a little basic and lacking some flavor. I appreciated the high quality ingredients, they just didn't shine through as much as I would have liked. Everything came out beautifully, the presentation is like something out of a magazine! The table we were seated at was comfortable( and near the bathroom, which was also lovely. If try this place again, for a romantic date, time with family or friends while visiting the Venetian hotel again. They did give our birthday attendee a cake as a dessert which was so kind.

After our conference ended the group wanted to share a meal and enjoy each other's company so someone suggested we dine here. We had made plans for 7:30 but ended up being early and they were flexible and squeezed us in early. This was great as we were a party 14 that went to 16 and ended up being 19. The service was amazing and the food was delicious!

Matteo's Ristorante Italiano is a very nice Italian Restaurant located on what they call "restaurant row" in the Palazzo part of the Venetian Casino/Resort. They start you off with bread, oil, and balsamic. We shared an appetizer of stuffed sweet and spicy peppers filled with soft cheese. They were delicious...Anyone would enjoy them. I got the confit blue fin tuna salad. It was an unusually great salad filled with quality produce, fish, and egg. It was prepared just so and was perfect. My husband enjoyed the gnocchi with pork sausage ragu and quality cheese. Service was efficient. The restaurant appeared to be clean and spotless.

5* Service 4* Ambiance and food Great wait staff and tasty food overall. Items we ordered this time: . Beef Tartare - beef was fresh but it needed a little zing . Crudo - very tasty; 25%fish 75% "guacamole" . Handkerchief Pasta - this is usually light and airy but tonight it was very doughy and chewy . Casonzei - delicious, highly recommend . Chilean Sea Bass - it's served on a squid ink sauce but it really isn't necessary as the fish is so fresh and sweet on its own . Cauliflower - my favorite of the night. Perfectly roasted (soft but not mushy) on the best flavored sauce on the table Again, can't say enough about the attentive service!

The food here is amazing quality and totally worth the cost. Drinks are also really good and were enjoyable, ended up having 3. Service is friendly and staff are very knowledgeable and proud about the food they are serving. The restaurant is nicely outlined and ambiance is great and if you are there on a non-busy night you can just walk-in, otherwise I would recommend a reservation. PS: Desert is a must!
